Requirements

• High School Degree
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification
• Experience with EKG, injections, and venipuncture
• Ability to perform common lab tests according to established CLIA guidelines and TriHealth policy
• Up to 1 year experience in a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in examination and treatment of patients.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Record information on patients' charts and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Exhibit a professional image and behavior toward patients, visitors, physicians, and employees.
• Demonstrate flexibility and initiative in accepting additional assignments and a willingness to learn.
• Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the treatment area.
• Demonstrate proficiency in assisting with medical procedures on adults and children.
• Demonstrate knowledge of clean and sterile procedures in the use of medical equipment.
