About The Position

The Medical Assistant position at FastMed involves supporting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care in an urgent care setting. Requirements

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program, OR an active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation, OR 6 months of experience in a relevant environment.
• Certification in BLS from the American Red Cross, with preferred certifications from American Safety Health Institute or National Safety Council.

Nice To Haves

• Prior recent experience in a healthcare setting, such as an emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory clinic.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients and measuring vitals.
• Recording information on patients' charts.
• Performing blood draws, venipuncture, and specimen collection.
• Completing lab work as required.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures as instructed by the provider.
• Preparing treatment rooms for examinations.
• Bringing patients from the waiting room to exam rooms.
