About The Position

The Medical Assistant will perform routine clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of medical staff, supporting patient care and wellness initiatives. This role involves direct interaction with patients, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining the operational readiness of medical facilities.

Requirements

  • Previous work experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Possession of an associate degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited school.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs.
  • Reconciling medical records and tracking preventative care records.
  • Assisting with patient calls and collecting statistics.
  • Preparing patients for their visits with medical staff.
  • Assisting with basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Communicating observed changes in patient conditions to medical staff.
  • Maintaining equipment and medical supplies, including reordering and cleaning.
  • Performing administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, and data entry.
