Wentworth Health Partners Cardiovascular Group, part of this system, offers expert care from fellowship-trained, board-certified vascular specialists, collaborating with experienced doctors, nurses, technologists, and clinicians at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. They treat all aspects of vascular health using both minimally invasive and traditional surgical options, focusing on accurate diagnosis and effective treatment for optimal patient outcomes.This position is for a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support the growing Vascular Surgery practice, working Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 5:00pm. The primary location is 10 Members Way in Dover, NH, with occasional cross-coverage at the Portsmouth, NH practice at 67 Corporate Drive. The Medical Assistant plays a key role in both direct patient care and administrative support for patients primarily with vascular wounds, post-operative amputations, peripheral vascular disease, and complex surgical follow-up needs. Clinical responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting patient information, assisting with dressing changes, wound care management, and supporting post-operative recovery plans. This role is critical for patient education, comfort, and continuity of care, involving close collaboration with surgeons, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other clinical team members in a multidisciplinary care environment. The vascular surgery practice is experiencing significant growth, with plans to expand services to a second location in Portsmouth to improve patient access and support increasing demand. This role is an essential part of a highly collaborative and supportive environment, working closely with surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and clinical support staff across both the outpatient clinic and hospital setting. Active physician recruitment is underway to support continued growth, expanded provider access, and the transition to clinic locations in Dover and Portsmouth. The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.
