Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Urology Experience 0-1 year preferred
  • Knowledge of urology procedures, instruments, and equipment commonly used in urology practices.
  • Understanding of sterile techniques, infection control practices, and patient safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations and demonstrate empathy towards patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist urologists and healthcare teams in providing direct patient care during urology procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, which may include positioning, draping, and providing emotional support.
  • Set up and prepare urology equipment and instruments required for procedures.
  • Ensure that all equipment is clean, sterilized, and in proper working condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on equipment as required.
  • Adhere to strict sterile techniques and infection control protocols during urology procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing instruments, preparing sterile trays, and ensuring proper disposal of contaminated items.
  • Follow established infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections.
