About The Position

This position requires at a minimum two 8 hour shifts every 6 weeks. There is potential to work up to part time hours when needed, and available. Please note that you would need to be able to train at a minimum of part time hours for the initial 4-8 weeks. Practice Overview Provide care to community members for walk-in and non-emergent appointments. We service all ages, and our scope of treatment has a wide range based on patient need. MAs can expect to room patients, administer medications, assist with treatments, wound care, ortho care, point of care testing, vaccine administration, order supplies, run audits, and more. This office has a busy but relaxed atmosphere. The team is small and works very close with one another. There are two to three MAs on staff daily depending on provider staffing and expected volumes. About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on skills. Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required within 120 Days
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Required within 120 Days
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) Required within 120 Days
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) Required within 120 Days
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) Required within 120 Days

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
