This program is a paid apprenticeship providing the education and skills necessary for a CMA career. It is an entry-level position requiring no prior MA experience and offers orientation to the duties and responsibilities of a medical assistant through on-the-job training in clinical rotations, classroom instruction, continuing education and four hours of paid study time weekly over the course of 7-8 months. Transportation and flexibility will be required as MA-Ts do rotations at various clinics within the Treasure Valley. Upon completion of the program, participants sit for a credentialing exam and become eligible for a CMA role. Individuals accepted into the MA-T program are hired as full-time, limited duration employees and are expected to complete the program and then work for a minimum of one year in a full time CMA role at St. Luke’s.
