About The Position

This position is a placeholder for employees transferring into the MA Training Cohort within 3 months of starting with Saint Luke's. The Medical Assistant Trainee will perform a variety of duties to support the clinic.

Requirements

• Applicable experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer the telephone, greet, screen, register and schedule patient appointments in clinic.
• Collect copays as applicable.
• Complete scanning and/or upload patient information.
• Mail recall appointments and make reminder phone calls.
• Stock and clean rooms and common areas.
• Inventory, receive and organize supplies.
• Prepare/turnover rooms for patients.
• Support clinic MAs including transporting patients as needed.
• May be trained to verify insurance and collect co-pays.
