This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while being supported by a team committed to your growth and professional development. Earn While You Learn – Pay starts at $18.50/hour and increases depending on prior clinical experience. Structured Training Program – We provide the training, mentorship, and resources you need to develop into a successful RMA. Career Growth – Upon completion of training, you’ll be prepared to sit for certification and transition into a full RMA role at Logan Health. Commitment to Your Future – Because this training is so valuable, we ask that selected candidates commit to working as a Medical Assistant at Logan Health for at least one year after completing the program. Your Role in Action As part of our program, you’ll: Participate in classroom-based learning sessions (3–6 weeks depending on prior clinical experience) to build a strong foundation in medical assisting skills. Train directly in the Heart & Lung Vascular clinic, gaining hands-on experience in patient care. Learn to welcome and prepare patients, record medical histories, and assist providers in procedures. Develop skills in specimen collection, point-of-care testing, accurate documentation, and patient education. Collaborate with a supportive clinical team that values teamwork and patient-centered care. Program & Hours Full-time schedule with consistent hours during clinic operations (typically Monday–Friday, daytime shifts). Training includes both classroom-style instruction and on-the-job learning in the clinic setting. Designed for candidates seeking to build a long-term career as a Registered Medical Assistant.

Requirements

  • A strong interest in pursuing a career as a Medical Assistant.
  • Compassion, reliability, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Medical Assistant or other clinical experience (MA, CNA, EMT, PCA, etc.) preferred.
  • Prior clinical or healthcare experience is helpful, but not required.
