This Medical Assistant Trainee opportunity is available within our ambulatory physician network. Selected candidates will interview with physician practices and be considered to fill their open MA positions upon completion of the training program. The Medical Assistant Trainee’s primary responsibility is to learn the concepts and skills to become a certified Medical Assistant within 16 weeks thru the Community Health Network paid Medical Assistant Training Program. The training program is developed to allow the trainee to actively participate and support the primary clinical teams upon completion. Once a Medical Assistant, The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. You will actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or state recognized GED
  • Responsible for being an engaged student during online learning, skills lab, and classroom education. Sample education to include: Basic anatomy and physiology Vocabulary of medical terminology and abbreviations Patient education and safety Vital signs EKG, Glucometry, Phlebotomy Specimen collection Updating medication list and allergies in record Documentation for all assigned responsibilities in EPIC Administering Immunizations Other applicable training
