Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of medical assistance experience.
• Written proof of completion of recognized Medical Assistant course.
• CPR Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a medical office setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Administer injectable non-controlled substance medication under supervision.
• Transcribe and verify patient completed admission intake forms into the EMR.
• Assist the physician during procedures that do not require sedation.
• Perform new patient and daily patient intakes including vital signs and medical history collection.
• Provide oversight of patient care for Cardiac Rehabilitation programs including exercise sessions and EKG monitoring.
• Develop and maintain necessary records and files for efficient operation and data retrieval.
• Schedule and maintain departmental calendar of events and assist with management of employee schedule.
