We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team of behavioral healthcare professionals in aiding clients on their recovery journey. Address: 420 Supreme Court East Stroudsburg, PA 18302 Shift: Per diem - covering shifts as needed Pay: $16/hr before shift differentials.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant degree/certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health settings.
  • Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations, DDAP, and CARF.
  • General office skills and organizational ability.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and support medical staff with documentation and filing.
  • Complete medical records and assist with client admissions and consent processes.
  • Obtain vital signs and conduct urine screens, documenting outcomes for medical team review.
  • Complete lab requisitions on admission and as needed, and monitor outcomes with the medical team.
  • Create and distribute client packets and maintain a safe physical environment.
  • Maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and document changes to client status.
  • Support the prior authorization and medication ordering process as needed.
  • Schedule follow-up medical appointments and make external referrals for clients as directed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
