Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training programOR one year of verifiable MA experience (in addition to required CMA experience).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Active certification/registration from one of the approved agencies (AAMA, NHA, AMCA, NCCT, NAHP, AMT, ARMA, AAH, etc.).
  • A passion for patient-centered care, teamwork, and clinical excellence.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and assist patients regularly.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a moderate-paced clinic environment.
  • Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and strong clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality patient care under the direction of physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Lead by example, supporting quality initiatives and mentoring Medical Assistants.
  • Gather and document patient data, assist with exams/procedures, administer approved medications, and coordinate specialty referrals.
  • Use your clinical expertise to support patient education, office operations, and smooth clinic workflow.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support training, competency assessments, and annual clinical reviews for MAs.
  • Contribute to special projects, committees, and process‑improvement efforts.
