Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of one (1) year Medical Assistance experience.
• Specialized training (1 year of training beyond high school).
• Experience in healthcare and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and review charts for current information.
• Ensure appropriate paperwork accompanies the patient to the room.
• Enter pertinent patient history and act as a resource for the care team.
• Serve as a trainer and mentor to new associates.
• Perform clinical procedures including aseptic procedures and taking vital signs.
• Prepare patients for the provider's care and observe/report signs and symptoms.
• Administer basic first aid and assist with patient examination/treatment.
• Operate required medical equipment and collect routine laboratory specimens as directed.
• Perform general administrative duties and office procedures as required.
• Act as a liaison between support services and other clinical divisions.
• Obtain authorizations for tests and therapies according to the patient's insurance policy.
