To provide medical assistance to the physician/nurse practitioner in a professional manner and to provide for patients in a caring, efficient and compassionate manner. To handle patient phone calls and care of patients in the office. Perform EKG's and CLIA waived test as appropriate.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• Good working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Coding.
• Current BLS certifications through any ILCOR provided courses.
• Ability to maintain composure under difficult and stressful conditions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with little supervision.
• Displays tact and diplomacy in inter-personal skills.
• Keeps BLS Certification current at all times.
• For LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse diploma from an accredited school and current Licensed Practical Nursing license.
• For Medical Assistant: Accredited Medical Assistant Program Certification or equivalent on-the-job training consisting of 3 or more years.

Nice To Haves

• Physician's office experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC (EMR) a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance processes required within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities
