About The Position
Under the direction of the facility leader, this position is responsible for ensuring that the facility is operating efficiently. Senior Medical Assistants working in a Medical Home and/or medical group setting will be an integral part of the patient's care team. They will work within the healthcare team, working together to achieve top quality outcomes and delivering optimal patient centered care. Senior Medical Assistants will be required to room patients, track and coordinate test results, educate patients, and assist with closing care gaps. The senior medical assistant will be a resource and provide education to other medical assistants within the medical group on multiple topics, including but not limited to medical assistant workflow, back-office processes, and point of care testing. This position is responsible to provide effective leadership in assisting the manager in the efficient running of the department.
