Requirements
- Strong computer and typing skills (above-average speed preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, EMT, or Medical Scribe
- Exposure to EMR systems or medical documentation
- Interest in pursuing a career in medicine, PA, nursing, or allied health
Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
- Obtain and accurately record vital signs
- Assist providers with real-time documentation of patient encounters and procedures
- Answer and triage patient phone calls professionally
- Enter patient data into the EMR system
- Complete visit documentation and surgical/procedural notes
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant medical recordkeeping
- Check patients in and out efficiently
- Schedule procedures and follow-up appointments
- Fax, scan, and organize medical records related to patient visits
