Requirements

  • Strong computer and typing skills (above-average speed preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, EMT, or Medical Scribe
  • Exposure to EMR systems or medical documentation
  • Interest in pursuing a career in medicine, PA, nursing, or allied health

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
  • Obtain and accurately record vital signs
  • Assist providers with real-time documentation of patient encounters and procedures
  • Answer and triage patient phone calls professionally
  • Enter patient data into the EMR system
  • Complete visit documentation and surgical/procedural notes
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant medical recordkeeping
  • Check patients in and out efficiently
  • Schedule procedures and follow-up appointments
  • Fax, scan, and organize medical records related to patient visits
