About The Position

The Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics is seeking a Medical Assistant / Scribe for a part-time position in Chattanooga, TN.
Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is Chattanooga's leading provider of multi-specialty orthopaedic care since 1979. We have 12 convenient locations in the Chattanooga, North Georgia and surrounding area. We offer advanced sports medicine, orthopaedics, surgery, physical and occupational therapy and sports training.

Requirements

• Completion of a formal medical assistant training program and/or Medical Assistant certification.
• Will consider recent graduate of medical assistant training program.
• At least two years experience in outpatient clinic setting desired.
• BLS (CPR) certification required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• No nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and nurse in patient care
• Ensure efficient and effective patient care and flow through clinic
• Obtain complete and accurate information from patient
• Performing all clerical and information technology functions for a physician in a clinic setting, including the primary responsibility of the operation of the electronic health records and electronic dictation system
• Anticipate the physician's needs to facilitate the flow of clinic
