About The Position

The Medical Assistant Scribe provides patient care in a physician’s office setting under the direct responsibility of a licensed physician and to assist the physician with documentation for patient’s medical chart. Clinical skills performed are within the scope of a Medical Assistant as defined by Florida Statutes 458.3485 and CFH Clinical Policy and Procedure. The MA may also perform clerical, insurance, and medical record functions.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Medical Assistant certification (or willingness to obtain within one year of employment)
Two (2) years of direct patient care experience (as an alternative to Medical Assistant certification)
Basic Life Support (CPR) required or must be obtained within the first month of employment and maintained throughout employment
Display initiative
Demonstrate the ability to multitask
Be able to assume additional responsibilities as needed
Proven ability to problem solve
Work collaboratively as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field
Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant
