About The Position

Reliant Medical Group, part of Optum, is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Worcester ReadyMed Plus location. This position involves working in a community-based, multi-specialty, physician-led organization focused on improving the quality, cost, and experience of health care. The role emphasizes delivering the best patient care rather than volume, supporting patients and team members through innovation and superior care management. The Medical Assistant will work full-time, three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating holidays and weekends.

Requirements

• Education or on-the-job training as a Medical Assistant.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) or completed within 90 days of date of hire for positions in direct patient care areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Assist in the examination and treatment of patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc.
• Assist physician and others with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc.
• Prepare treatment rooms.
• Perform a variety of clerical functions to support office functions.
• Perform related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information.
