About The Position

Sentara Health is hiring for a Medical Assistant- RMA/CCMA/CMA/EMT-B/AEMT/Paramedic for Sentara Endocrinology Kempsville in Norfolk, VA! This position is a full-time, permanent role with standard working hours from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break. The Medical Assistant will report daily at Sentara Rheumatology Specialists and will primarily perform clinical tasks while also covering the front desk as needed. Cross-training will be provided. As a Medical Assistant, you will work directly with a doctor conducting phlebotomy (lab), clinical and clerical duties. The primary responsibilities include bringing patients into rooms, taking vitals, verifying patient information, and preparing them for the doctor. Teamwork is emphasized, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• BLS certification required within 90 days

• Experience as a Medical Assistant, RMA, CCMA, CMA, EMT-B, AEMT, or Paramedic
