About The Position

The Medical Assistant-Resident position at MultiCare is a full-time role designed for individuals enrolled in a Medical Assistant training program. This position allows participants to gain hands-on experience while receiving paid training. Upon successful completion of the program and certification, participants can transition to a Medical Assistant-Certified role. The program emphasizes both classroom learning and practical clinic experience, fostering professional growth within a supportive healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a recognized Medical Assistant training program in partnership with MultiCare.
• Preferred one (1) year experience with direct patient care in a clinical or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS Certification to be obtained within 2-4 weeks of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting prior to application.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 20-week Medical Assistant training program while employed as a full-time MA-Resident.
• Perform duties under the guidance of a mentor/preceptor in alignment with training topics.
• Complete required training and certification processes, including obtaining Medical Assistant-Registration and certification.
• Shadow experienced staff until the MA-Registration application is submitted.
• Engage in both classroom and clinical learning environments, with variable schedules.
