About The Position

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for a Per Diem Medical Assistant to join our experienced Convenient Care team in Springfield, MA. Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to our patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation, and patient discharge. Our supportive work environment allows you to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association
• Must be ONE of the following: Certified through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Registered as an American Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs
• Perform patient intake and history
• Handle clinical orders and procedures
• Document patient information
• Assist with patient discharge
