About The Position

The Medical Assistant II position at Cooley Dickinson Health Care is a full-time role focused on supporting the Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine Department. Requirements

• High School diploma/GED
• Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1 year professional experience
• National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
• Pulmonary, Allergy, or Critical Care specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
• Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
• Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
• Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
• Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
