About The Position

The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the delegated nursing functions under the direction of the department manager and clinical nurses. This position is responsible for assisting with direct patient care and clerical duties that are an essential function in the coordination of optimal patient care, including, but not limited to scheduling patients, vital signs, charting, ordering supplies, cleaning and stocking patient areas, chart audits and interaction with all areas of the department. This position is at our Pulmonary Clinic in Panama City Beach.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training course at a vocational/technical school.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant externship.
• Two (2) or more years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated nursing functions under the direction of the department manager and clinical nurses.
• Assist with direct patient care.
