Medical Assistant, PRN
About The Position
Clinical Care Delivery provides high quality, patient-centered care focused on diagnosing, treating and managing care while ensuring the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the practice. To improve patient care and patient satisfaction, a new employee can help the doctor see more patients, reducing wait times and increasing patient access and patient care. This position will help as needed to support an influx of patient volume and keep the clinic running smoothly. Location cCARE Cancer Center: San Diego 4S Ranch 16918 Dove Canyon Road Suite 103 San Diego, CA 92127
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience, preferred
- Medical Assistant diploma required
- Current CPR required
- Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
- Must have experience with Medical Terminology - reading and writing skills
- Ability to multi-task a fast-paced work environment
- Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks
- Works on basic and routine assignments
- Selects correct processes from prescribed rules or guidelines
- Work is closely managed and follows detailed instructions
- Seeks regular guidance and advice from supervisor
Responsibilities
- Take vitals and room patients
- Assist during medical procedures
- Request and obtain necessary clinical documents for patients' chart
- Organize examination rooms
- May assist in verifying patient insurance, assist with voicemail and returns calls accordingly
- Communicate with providers, staff and patients.
