The job involves preparing patients for provider exams, taking vital signs, recording patient history, and assisting in office procedures. You will administer treatment, medications, and injections as ordered, conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointments with recent test results and correspondence, and call patients regarding test results as instructed by the provider.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma
  • Completion of Medical Assistant Program required
  • Three to five years in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Computer skills required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer
  • Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training
