About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) position at the Pre-Operative Clinic is essential for preparing patients for surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical journey. Requirements

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Nice To Haves

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience in a pre-operative or surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort and safety of patients.
• Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
• Perform a variety of patient care duties as delegated by the physician.
• Escort patients to the exam room and prepare them for the exam, including taking vital signs and medical history.
