About The Position
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction. We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy Background to join our team at Putnamville Correctional Facility located in Greencastle, Indiana. Pay Rate Range is $18-25/hour, depending on experience The Medical Assistant/ Phlebotomist works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab test, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally, responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.
Requirements
- Current Indiana Medical Assistant license/certification
- Must have Phlebotomy background
- Minimum of 6 months Lab Experience
- Current CPR
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience preferred, not required
