Requirements

• Current Registered or Certified Medical Assistant certification.
• Experience working with persons with severe mental illness, substance use disorders, or co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Preferred 3 years of psychiatric triage experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Valid Kansas driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Proof of auto insurance.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass pre-employment background checks.

• Familiarity with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of persons served prescribed long-acting injectables.
• Administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections as per medical orders.
• Obtain vital signs and update patient allergies.
• Reconcile current medication regimens and assist with medication triage.
• Complete prescription refills as needed per medical orders.
• Assist in program discharges and scheduling same-day access appointments.
• Obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens for laboratory testing.
• Perform screening tests and report results.
• Process specimens for laboratory testing and prepare for dispatch to reference laboratories.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide and coordinate services.
