About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to support both front- and back-office operations in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, and administrative duties while maintaining a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
- EMR experience required
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication and computer skills
- Interest in working in a health education and outreach-focused environment
- Front- and back-office experience
- Phlebotomy
- EKG
- Point-of-care (POC) testing
- Scheduling
- Patient rooming
- Taking vitals
- BLS or CPR certification (candidates without certification may start pending approval)
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients
- Schedule appointments and answer incoming calls
- Take and document vital signs
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
- Administer vaccines as directed
- Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Provide additional clinical and administrative support as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
