About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of an MD, RN, or Sr. Office Manager, assumes responsibility and accountability for assignments for a designated time frame, assisting staff in providing patient care according to established methods/policies/standards of IJJR Clinic. In addition to performing the essential functions of the job, may also be assigned other duties as required, such as, assisting IJRR nurses in collection quality measures.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology and English.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Certification.
• Emotional stamina to work in a stressful environment and relate to patients, hospital staff, and visitors.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Typing speed of 30 wpm.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience with Windows operating system and Windows based programs.
• 2 years minimum on the job recent experience in an Orthopedic Surgery office.
• Ability to exercise appropriate decision making in determining follow up actions.
• Familiarity with EMR, preferably EPIC.

Nice To Haves

• Internet skills desired.
