Sign-On Bonus for External applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students only About the Unit Our amazing team specializes in children’s diabetes, thyroid concerns, hormones and a variety of other endocrinology concerns in children. Our office is made up of about 50 team members such as Physicians, APPs, RN, Certified Diabetic Educators, Registered Dieticians, Social Workers, Medical Assistants and Ambulatory Clinical Technician and a few more key players. Our team enjoys working hard together but also celebrating one another with various team appreciation events, fun Fridays and overall being a family supporting our community. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. MAs assist with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting in procedures. Candidates for this position should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing high-quality patient care. About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. Scope of work As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required within 120 Days
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Required within 120 Days
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) Required within 120 Days
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) Required within 120 Days
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) Required within 120 Days

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
