About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (Bilingual English/Spanish) to join our Pediatric department at El Nuevo San Juan (ENSJ) who can work collaboratively with the Department Chair and Director to deliver high-quality patient care. Based out of our flagship health center, El Nuevo San Juan, the Medical Assistant will support patient's vitals, provider support, and administrative duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Medical Assistant Certificate or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
Proficiency with computers and software.
Flexible schedule.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Prepares examination rooms, stocks inventory, maintains autoclave, and maintains sterilization and infection control standards.
Obtains vital signs, chief complaint, medical history and accurate records in medical records.
Assists providers during all aspects of exams, treatments, and ambulatory procedures.
When applicable- provides administrative support, registers and verifies patient demographics.
Maintains room logs and walk the patients to the exam room.
Prepare patients for providers and patients template management.
Schedules and reschedule appointments, recall patients for required services and make and scanned referrals.
