About The Position

Join Our Caring Pediatric Team! Are you passionate about helping children and supporting families? We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Pediatrics team in Farmington. In this role, you will provide clinical and administrative support, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for our young patients and their families.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting
• Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within one year of eligibility
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
• A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire
• One year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with patient care
• Take vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient charts
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed by providers
• Perform basic lab tests and collect specimens
• Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and assist with patient communications
• Educate families on health, wellness, and treatment plans
