Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
  • Experience with EMS preferred.
  • Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptionally friendly customer service to every patient.
  • Manages the office phone system: answering calls, transferring calls, and answering patients' questions.
  • Responsible for initial patient intake, including checking vital signs, establishing reason for visit, and ensuring patient's EMS information/notes are accurate.
  • Collect co-payments from patients at check-in
  • Working with insurance companies, obtaining referrals, prior authorizations, etc.
  • Assisting with medical treatments and procedures as needed
  • Following up with patients on test results, post-procedure instructions, etc.
  • Ordering and managing office/clinical supplies.
  • Assist with any miscellaneous tasks to ensure the practice is presentable to incoming patients.
