About The Position

The position is for a Medical Assistant / Patient Service Representative in Orthopedics located in Kildeer, IL. This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, with shifts rotating from Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The role does not require on-call duties or weekend work at this time, but there is required travel for coverage purposes at the Schaumburg office.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification or registration as a Certified, Registered, or Clinical Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) through recognized agencies.
• At least 6 months of clinical experience or 1 year of clinical experience for non-certified candidates.
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• A valid driver's license is required if performing related duties at an off-site location.

Responsibilities

• Perform select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care under the direction of the Supervisor.
• Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and x-rays, and record results.
• Assist with some in-office procedures under general supervision of a physician.
• Rotate to work the front desk and perform clerical duties related to clinic operations.
