Must have previous experience working as a Scheduler, knowledge of medical terminology, and an American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.
  • BLS certified required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients for procedures at clinic, ASC, and hospital along with radiology and lab work
  • Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and documents all information in patient’s chart, if applicable
  • Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.
  • Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.
  • Assist the physician with office visits. Must be able to assist physician in an emergency, if applicable
  • Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.
  • Manage referrals as directed by physician.
  • Answer patient questions. Notify patients of test results
  • Schedule Research Patients
  • Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.
