About The Position

The Medical Assistant position at the Internal Medicine Specialty Clinic is a part-time role requiring 24 hours per week, specifically Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. This clinic is a growing multi-specialty facility that operates during the day shift with no weekends or holidays. The clinic specializes in various fields including GI, Rheumatology, Nephrology, Allergy, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, and Sleep Medicine, and is staffed by world-renowned physicians. The role involves providing high-quality customer service and patient care under the direction of licensed practitioners, promoting efficient clinic operations, and assisting physicians and support staff.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program required.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program.
• If required to administer medications, current Medication Aid Registry listing or completed within first 30 days of hire or transfer date, and maintained thereafter required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a physician's office preferred.
• Experience in a related area preferred.
• Ability to be bilingual in English and Spanish for working in certain clinics preferred.
• Medical assistant certification preferred.
• Medical Scribe experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to patients under the direction of licensed practitioners.
