About The Position

Under direct orders given by the MD or APRN, supervises self-administered client medication, depending on the specific clinical program’s protocols. Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks. Provides personal care, as needed (e. g., personal hygiene, toileting, laundry, meal preparation, safe eating techniques) as directed. Provides frequent rounding on clients and address/report client needs to LPN/RN as appropriate. Obtains vital signs, height, and weight for clients on the inpatient unit as directed by the LPN/RN. Performs UDS/HCG testing adhering to CLIA standards. Maintains accurate inventory of medicines and medical supplies. Authorizes drug refills as ordered by the medical provider and telephones/faxes prescriptions to the pharmacy. Schedules outside medical appointments for clients as ordered by the medical provider. Obtains necessary medical information as requested by the medical provider. Maintains current and accurate documentation. Transports clients to clinics and hospitals within walking distance of facility as needed. Administers First Aid and CPR, as needed. Requirements

  • High School or GED.
  • Desired: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or SRNA.
  • Preferred but not required experience.
