About The Position

North Ameican Medical Associates (NAMA) is a fast growing multi-speciality medical practice with a team of Doctors and Professionals deveoted to the art of diagnosing and treating disorders. The Orthopedic Medical Assistant performs a varitety of hands on clinical tasks under the supervision of an Orthopedic Physician. They are essential members of the orthopedic care team, providing direct patient care, assisting with procedures and managing administrative tasks. This role ensures that the orthopedic physician can deliver effective, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of othopedic teminology
  • Must be able to travel to other locations to support the physician.
  • Must have Medical Assistant Certification
  • Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

  • Patient preparation: Taking medical history, record vital signs, preparing patients for examinations or procedures
  • Diagnostic support: collect blood, tissue or other laborartory specimens for testing and obtain diagnostic testing
  • Apply splints, casts or bandages, asisst in minor surgeries, give injections and removing sutures
  • Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
  • Maintaining and updating medical records, including test results, and treatment notes.
  • Managing correspondence, answerin gpohones and coordinating hospital admissions or tesing.
