About The Position

The Medical Assistant is an unlicensed healthcare professional who performs routine technical services within the medical practice settings under the supervision of the physicians and medical staff. This role is also responsible for supporting the front and back office clinic operations. We are looking for someone to work a Per Diem position, 1-3 shifts per week, between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm. The primary days we are looking for are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with other days available to pick up as needed.

Requirements

Minimum one (1) year of experience in front and back office pediatric medical office/clinic setting.
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Graduate of a vocational school having successfully completed requirements for MA.
Knowledge and ability to provide appropriate patient care depending on age, cultural, and spiritual needs.
Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards.
Advance care through development of new ideas and technology.
Promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission, understanding, and exceeding patient and family expectations.
Effectively solve patient care and operational problems.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job.
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certified Medical Assistant.
