Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) – Required at time of hire and must be maintained.
  • Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain before starting).
  • Knowledge of POCT, Immunizations, and Injections – You’ll be giving shots like a pro!
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills – You think on your feet and adapt quickly.
  • Excellent Organization & Time Management – You keep things running like a well-oiled machine.
  • Customer Service Rockstar – Patients feel comfortable and cared for in your hands.
  • Tech-Savvy – Comfortable with Microsoft applications and EMR systems.
  • Radiology Certification (if applicable) – If the role requires X-ray functions, you must have radiology training from your MA program or a validated competency checklist.

Responsibilities

  • Prep charts, check vitals, and set the stage for great care!
  • Administer meds, give immunizations, collect specimens, and assist with minor procedures like wound care, suture removal, and more.
  • Keep patient records up to date in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Support providers, participate in team huddles, and help keep the clinic running like a well-oiled machine.
  • Help patients understand their treatment plans, new medications, and follow-up care.
