We are seeking a medical assistant or LPN to work pool to fill in for our current staff during workload fluctuations and time off. Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Program Graduate or LPN registered in State MN
  • Current LPN license in the State of Minnesota or Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients served, along with appropriate support services to MD, NP and PA required.
  • Familiarity with legal and insurance requirements related to documentation within the medical record required.
  • Strong human relations, written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Medical Assistant or LPN experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the medical staff to help patients maintain health or promote healing.
  • Performs patient care duties with infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Performs technical skills specific to assigned service area and other areas as appropriate
  • Provides quality service to all internal customers.
  • Assists all support service areas, as needed.
  • Provides excellent customer service to patients, families and internal contacts using AIDET.
  • Accepts responsibility for professional growth and continuing education
  • Accepts responsibility and assures quality, cost effective patient care
  • Accepts responsibility for communication with all customers.
  • Uses proper verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with patients, families and other health disciplines to support the continuum of healthcare delivery.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
