About The Position

A Certified Medical Assistant for the Premier Physician Network will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical, surgery scheduling, and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. Our Certified Medical Assistants are an integral part of our offices, and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best in Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate
• Certified Medical Assistant, graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program
• Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians
• Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred
• Surgery Scheduling experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and collecting vitals
• Performing pulmonary function tests
• Administering injections
• Conducting EKGs
• Providing breathing treatments
• Conducting lab testing
• Performing dressing changes and wound cleaning
• Conducting hearing and vision tests
• Assisting with other duties as assigned
