About The Position

A Certified Medical Assistant/LPN for the Premier Health Physician Enterprise will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. Our Certified Medical Assistants/LPNs are an integral part of our offices and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best in Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate
• Certified Medical Assistant/LPN and graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant/LPN program
• Prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility is preferred
• Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians
• Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients
• Collecting vitals
• Abstracting/charting
• Relaying instructions to patients
• Scheduling appointments/endoscopy procedures
• Setting instruments up for procedures
• Cleaning exam/procedure rooms to maintain infection control
• Ordering and stocking clinical inventory supplies
• Other duties as assigned
