About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) plays a crucial role in supporting the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team at MultiCare. This position involves direct patient care, clinical responsibilities, and clerical tasks, all aimed at ensuring a smooth patient experience and effective healthcare delivery. The MA-C will work under the supervision of licensed healthcare practitioners and will have continuous interaction with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
• Interviewing patients
• Obtaining vital signs
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
• Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
• Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers
• Sending and receiving of patient medical records
• Facilitating patient referrals
• Preparing forms for patients
