About The Position

We are looking for a Medical Assistant or a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist with clinical procedures, facilitate flow of patients through the office and communicate internally as appropriate to coordinate services. The Medical Assistant position is great for those who want to make a difference in the mental health field! Monday - Friday position.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Knowledge of medical records documentation requirements
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or completion of a recognized one year Medical Assistant Program OR
• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
• Previous mental health and medical management experience
• Demonstrated computer skills, including but not limited to electronic medication and medical records data entry
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical with a drug and alcohol screen

Responsibilities

• Retrieve information from the medication line and forward this information to the Nurses
• Document patient history, record vital signs and allergies as needed
• Review medical records for required documentation, including updating release of information authorization forms
• Submit authorizations for drug refills to the pharmacy as directed and complete drug prior authorization forms as needed
• Prepare samples and document in record; contact patient as directed
