Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course (preferred).
• Four (4) years of healthcare experience (preferred).
• One (1) year of experience at Northside as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
• Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort and safety of patients.
• Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
• Perform duties as part of a multidisciplinary patient care team.
• Share various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members of the healthcare team.
