About The Position

OnPoint Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join the team at OnPoint Pediatrics in Highlands Ranch. This role involves assisting healthcare providers in the examination and treatment of patients, ensuring a high standard of care and patient satisfaction. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for patient intake, maintaining medical records, and supporting the overall operations of the clinic.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited healthcare program (Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT, or equivalent).
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong computer skills and EMR experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Nationally recognized as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) strongly preferred.
• Experience with Athenahealth practice management system.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient intake and prepares patients for healthcare visits.
• Documents vital signs and populates electronic medical records accurately.
• Assists providers during examinations and treatments, performing point of care tests as needed.
• Maintains supplies in storage areas and exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Conducts pre-visit planning and maintains logs for required checks.
• Addresses voicemails and electronic messages in the medical record system.
• Backs up front office tasks including check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling.
